The Pakistan Volleyball Federation Reveals Its Exciting 2024 Schedule: A New Era of Outstanding Volleyball


In 2024, Pakistan’s volleyball is set to experience big changes, thanks to the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), under the drive of Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, who recently announce a timetable of international competitions to increase the sport’s visibility on a regional and global level.

Even with a shortage of resources, Pakistan plans to play in seven important international volleyball competitions, representing its strong interest in sports, helping youth and competing globally.


Kicking Off the Season: CAVA Nation’s League in Uzbekistan



The event will start in Fergana, Uzbekistan, at the CAVA Nation’s League, where Pakistan’s senior men’s volleyball team will go up against the top teams from Central Asia. Starting on May 29, the tournament gives the national team an important chance to test itself and improve strategies before the Asian Nations Cup in Bahrain.

Being part of the CAVA Nation’s League allows Pakistan to compare its achievements with strong teams from Iran and Kazakhstan. The event also helps teams bond and performs crucial team actions in front of a broad international audience.



Emphasis on Youth Development: U16, U18, and U20 Titles

The U16 Men’s Volleyball Championship under the CAVA will take place in Uzbekistan immediately after the senior event.The purpose of this initiative is to help new players improve and support the sport’s future in Pakistan.

The U18 and U20 squads in Pakistan are training hard ahead of a packed year.While the U18 team will be welcome to the Asian Championship and CAVA U-18 Championship, the U20 team is busy with preparation for the 4th International Volleyball Championship and CAVA U-20 Championship in Sri Lanka.



2024 National Volleyball Championship: A Talent Exhibition at Home


You have to start at home if you want to rise on the international stage. The National Volleyball Championship is due to start on April 4 at Wah Cantt, featuring 14 teams, chief among them Army and Wapda.

Organized in a round-robin league system, the event will reach a thrilling conclusion during a final on April 10. Standout athletes in this championship will be offers a place on the team for upcoming international tournaments which offers a clear route from national to international volleyball.

A Historic First: Russian National Team to Tour Pakistan

After making a landmark announcement, the Pakistan Volleyball Federation confirmed the Russian team will play in Pakistan during June 23 to 27. As a result of this historic event, Pakistan is now making important progress in its sports diplomacy and international volleyball links.

Having the Russian team meet Pakistan helps the national team reach worldwide eyes and strengthens the belief that Pakistan is suitable for large sporting events.

Said Chairman Yaqoob, “This tour will strengthen the sports relationship between our countries and will encourage both our players and supporters.

While speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry Yaqoob repeated that government backing is crucial for the federation’s expansion plans.
